Description
This course
equips students with knowledge and information of advanced accounting. The
course introduces students to the standard and statutes; final accounts for
internal use, application of IT in accounting, payroll accounting and treasury
functions in organisations.
The course also lays emphasis on developing the ability to report on
management issues, the analysis and interpretation as it applies to corporate
reporting. It examines the practice and theory of corporate reporting by
companies. The course covers topics such as: the regulatory framework of
accounting and developments in accounting; income and value measurement;
valuation of business; financial analysis among others.
