Course Description
The course introduces students to accounting principles, concepts and conventions. It also focus on basic accrual accounting methods: the recording of transactions using double-entry principle; trial balance; adjustments; depreciation and provisions; preparation of final accounts for sole trading business, partnership and non-profit making bodies; correction of errors, manufacturing accounts and single and incomplete records.


The course helps participants to know why people behave as they do in relation to their jobs, their work groups and their organizations. This knowledge of individuals' perceptions, motivational attitudes and behaviour will enable
particpants to not only understand themselves better, but also to adopt appropriate managerial policies and leadership styles to increase their effectiveness.

Course Description
The course introduces students to basic concepts and terminologies as applicable in business enterprise. It is intended to provide students with a working knowledge of the current issues and relevant marketing mix. In the process, the course exposes the student to relationships in the marketing environment and systems, using relevant Ghanaian examples. The historical development of marketing, nature of marketing, importance and functions of marketing, and the types of markets and classifications of products as well as marketing communications are but a few topics to be treated.
